Keep Allston Shitty pt. 2

I think that Boston is the greatest city on earth. I am a little biased but where else do you have skinny jeaned artists living alongside low income black families ? (Mission Hill) Where else can you walk from downtown to the outskirts in half an hour? Where else can you get to go to Rocky Horror Picture show in front of Harvard and MIT (Cambridge) Where else can you get a tiny neighborhood where you tons of people you know plus every punk-anarchist, student, band, fixie-fucker, hipster, gangter, general young hooligans that feed off the being around each other? (Allston) Where else can you see one of the oldest cemeteries next to one of the oldest parks riding THE oldest public transit in the U.S. and have it straddle a chinatown? (Down town) Where else can you smoke weed next to a dirty river? (The Charles) And the whole fucker is built on land fill into the Atlantic Ocean. And everyone can be a Sox fan. And those accents don't come from anywhere else.


Yeah the t sucks but you get to see businessmen and the t driver secretly sip on nips of vodka while a punk blasts Dead Kennedys in the back. And its cold but Fuck it buy a parka. Boston is not the nicest or the kindest place and you can't buy booze after 11 or use a fake anywhere but you have to relax and let the first real city in America grow on you. If you try and fight it and complain that PortChiNewYorkAngelaselPhiaStinLeansD.C.iscoAris is better of course your'e gonna hate it. It has no City planning and nothing good open 24hours. And it won't love you for no reason. You have to find your niche and Realize how goddamn fun and pretty and hardnosed this city is and love it for what it is. You have to DGAF it a little and that's where all the fun is. AND PEOPLE HERE LOVE YOU. A LOT.
